DISCLOSURES

Investment Advisory Services

Escient Financial is a registered investment advisor offering advisory services in the State of California and in other jurisdictions where exempted. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training.

The information on this site is not intended as tax, accounting or legal advice, as an offer or solicitation of an offer to buy or sell, or as an endorsement of any company, security, fund, or other securities or non-securities offering. This information should not be relied upon as the sole factor in an investment making decision.

Past performance is no indication of future results. Investment in securities involves significant risk and has the potential for partial or complete loss of funds invested. It should not be assumed that any recommendations made will be profitable or equal any performance noted on this site.

The information on this site is provided “AS IS” and without warranties of any kind either express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable laws, Escient Financial disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, and suitability for a particular purpose.

Escient Financial does not warrant that the information on this site will be free from error. Your use of the information is at your sole risk. Under no circumstances shall Escient Financial be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the information provided on this site, even if Escient Financial or a Escient Financial-authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Information contained on this site should not be considered a solicitation to buy, an offer to sell, or a recommendation of any security in any jurisdiction where such offer, solicitation, or recommendation would be unlawful or unauthorized.

Investing involves risk including the potential loss of principal. No investment strategy can guarantee a profit or protect against loss in periods of declining values. Diversification does not guarantee a profit nor is it guaranteed to protect assets.

Escient Financial only transacts business in states where it is properly registered, or exempted from registration. Escient Financial does not accept time-sensitive transactional messages, including orders to buy and sell securities. Do not use email to request, authorize or send securities transfer instructions.

Different types of investments involve varying degrees of risk, and there can be no assurance that any specific investment will either be suitable or profitable for a client’s investment portfolio. No client or prospective client should assume that any information presented and/or made available on this website serves as the receipt of, or a substitute for, personalized individual advice from the advisor or any other investment professional.

Historical performance results for investment indexes and/or categories generally do not reflect the deduction of transaction and/or custodial charges or the deduction of an investment-management fee, the incurrence of which would have the effect of decreasing historical performance results.

Diversification does not protect against loss in a declining market.

Exchange Traded Funds (ETF’s) and mutual funds are subject to risks similar to those of stocks, such as market risk, and investors that have their funds invest in accordance with the portfolios may experience losses. The use of leverage by an exchange-traded fund or mutual fund increases the risk to the fund. The more a fund invests in leveraged instruments, the more the leverage will magnify gains or losses on those investments. The value of an investment and the return on invested capital will fluctuate over time and, when sold or redeemed, may be worth less than its original cost. Additionally, fixed income (bond) ETF’s or mutual funds are subject to interest rate risk which is the risk that debt securities in a portfolio will decline in value because of increases in market interest rates. Investments in foreign investments may incur greater risks than domestic investments.

COOKIES POLICY

This Cookie Policy describes how Escient Financial (also referred to as "the Firm") collects and uses cookies about its clients and/or prospective clients (“you” or “your”) through this website (“Website”).

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that is downloaded on to your computer when you visit a website. Cookies are used by many websites and can do a number of things, such as remembering your preferences and counting the number of people looking at a website.

How Escient Financial Uses Cookies

The information Escient Financial collects when guests visit the Website does not identify individual users, however the Firm does collect the amount of traffic visiting the site, which pages are visited and for how long, where visitors come from, and what ISP they are using. Escient Financial uses the information it collects to improve the quality of the Website, enhance or tailor the information it offers, and make your experience on the Website as valuable and efficient as possible. Specifically, Escient Financial uses cookies on this Website for the following purposes:

Analytical purposes: Analytical cookies allow Escient Financial to recognize, measure and track visitors to the Website. This helps the Firm improve and develop the way the Website works, for example, by determining whether Website visitors can find information easily, or by identifying the aspects of the Website that are of the most interest to them.

Usage preferences: Some of the cookies on the Website are activated when visitors to the Website make a choice about their usage of the Website. The Website then ‘remembers’ the settings preferences of the user concerned. This allows the Firm to tailor aspects of the site to the individual user.

Terms and conditions: Escient Financial uses cookies on the Website to record when a Website visitor has seen a policy, such as this one, or provided consent, such as consent to the terms and conditions on the Website. This helps to improve the user’s experience of the Website – for example, it avoids a user from repeatedly being asked to consent to the same terms.

Session management: This type of cookie helps the website track internet usage. Session cookies are temporary and are deleted from your machine when your web browser closes.

Functional purposes: Functional purpose cookies store information that is needed by the Firm's applications to process and operate. For example, where transactions or requests within an application involve multiple workflow stages, cookies are used to store the information from each stage temporarily, in order to facilitate completion of the overall transaction or request.

Third party cookies. When you visit the Website, you may receive cookies that are set by third parties. These cookies are used for the purposes described in the bullet points above. Escient Financial does not control the setting of these third party cookies, so it is suggested you might wish to check the third party websites for more information about their use of cookies and how to manage them.

Please see the Appendix below for a list of the cookies Escient Financial uses on its Website.
